GIRLS' VOLLEYBALL: Wednesday's roundup
#ctvb -- Wednesday’s schedule was pretty light. In spite of that fact, there were still a few games on the schedule. Check out the roundup below.
Cheshire 3, Foran 0: Amanda Palladino had 10 kills and four blocks, Kathleen Hastie had 12 assists and four aces and Maria Buzzelli contributed eight digs as the Rams began their season with a sweep of the Lions in the season-opener for both in Milford.
Prince Tech 3, Whitney Tech 1: Tania Wells’ 15 service points, seven aces and five kills were not enough as Whitney Tech fell to Prince Tech in the season-opener for both in Hamden.
Platt Tech 3, O’Brien Tech 2: Amy Mulkern’s eight aces and four kills led Platt Tech over O’Brien Tech in the season opener for both in Ansonia.
St. Luke’s 3, Hopkins 2: Sabrina Falcigno was 12-for-13 serving with an ace and Frencesca Ferrante was 16-for-17 serving for Hopkins (0-1) in a losing effort to St. Luke’s (1-0) in New Canaan.
