Guilford tops Sacred Heart Academy

In softball action on Wednesday:

Dani Oboyski drove in the winning run with a single to right field as Guilford scored four times in the bottom of the sixth inning in a 7-5 Southern Connecticut Conference interdivision victory over visiting Sacred Heart Academy. Both teams are 2-2.

In other games, Winning pitcher Jenny Labbadia and Nicki Shea each had two hits for Westbrook in a 7-6 win over Morgan.

Amy Mirto drove in Amanda Goodwin with the winning run in the top of the seventh inning to lift Hamden to an 8-7 victory over West Haven.

Adria Buonocore drove in Lauren Zambrano with a single in the fourth inning to lift Lyman Hall to a 1-0 win over Amity. Cathy Tinker had two hits for the Spartans (3-1).
