Today's Top Baseball Performances

There were a handful of close games today on the area high school baseball scene.
Josh Rouse went 3-for-4 and knocked in Brett Michael Doran the game’s only run as Law edged Foran 1-0 in eight innings. The Lawmen haven’t allowed a run yet this season.
Dennis McGinley scored the game-winning run on an error to lift Guilford over Hand 2-1. McGinley went 2-for-3. Craig Schlitter struck out nine to pick up the win. The Indians continue to prove it is no rebuilding year in Guilford.
Eric Romano had two hits, an RBI and scored as Notre Dame-West Haven squeezed by Fairfield Prep 3-2. The Green Knights have an intriguing matchup Friday with Law.
Al Simeone blasted a grand slam to lift Xavier to a 5-4 victory over Hamden.
Tim Geer had three hits and two RBIs as Derby rallied to score three runs in the seventh inning and beat Wilbur Cross 3-2.
