One In, One Out And One To Go
Three city schools reached the state tournament semifinals.
Anisha Wilson scored 30 points today to lead Career, the defending Class LL girls' basketball champions, back to the title game. Wilson's 30 led the No. 2 Panthers to a 66-63 win over No. 3 Lauralton Hall. Keylantra Langley led the Crusaders with 33 points in the semifinal game at Central Connecticut State.
Career will play top-seeded Norwich Free Academy, who edged No. 13 Wilbur Cross 44-40. The Governors were ousted from the semifinals for the second straight season. Chantell Alford led Wilbur Cross with a game-high 17 points.
No. 7 Hillhouse will play No. 3 Avon in the Class L semifinals Monday at 7 p.m. at Xavier.
