Career, Cross girls' advance
Career defeated SCC rival Mercy, 46-42, to advance to the Class LL semifinals.
Second-seeded Career will face No. 3 Lauralton Hall on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Central Conn. State.
No. 13 Wilbur Cross got past St. Joseph, 52-39, to earn a berth in the Final Four. The Govs will battle No. 1 Norwich Free Academy at 5:30 p.m., also at Central on Saturday.
