The buzzword for track and field standout Jake Scinto of Cheshire this season in the high jump was consistency.
Consistently raising the bar and improving his height and consistently winning.
On Saturday at the New Balance National Outdoor Track and Field Championships at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, N.C., Scinto capped his high school season in style in the high jump by jumping 6 feet, 8.75 inches on his first attempt at the height to earn him the victory.
Winning the high jump national championship also made him a first team All-American.
