CIAC Division II final: St. Joe's leads 4-2 after two periods

Amity continued to give its self chances to score in the second period and outshot St. Joseph 15-10 in the period. But both teams traded goals in the second period to keep the game close.
Conor Crouse sent Pat Corcoran a perfect lead pass down center ice for a 1-on-1 breakaway. Corcoran scored his second goal off a 15-foot slap shot to make it 4-1 Cadets.
Amity kept pressuring Cadets goalie Zach Carrano who kept making saves. But a defensive mistake by Carrano cost the cadets a goal.
Carrano went behind the net to get a loose puck but two Amity players also got to the puck. Amity’s Sam Noss passed the puck to Will Dixon in front of the right post who had a wide open net in front of him. Dixon’s goal cut the lead to 4-2 with 1:17 left in the second period.
