CIAC Div I semis: Prep takes the lead after two periods

Prep goalie Spencer Sodokoff was the story in the second period, making 14 saves and stopping breakaways, slap shots and two multiple rebound opportunities for New Canaan.
Prep wasted no time in taking the lead when Lucas Dennison scored 18 seconds into the period for a 2-1 score.
Jimmy Joe Granito tied the game at 2 for New Canaan on a long-range slap shot from about 30 feet in front of Sodokoff who was screened by three players in front of him. The puck flew over Sodokoff’s leg pad into the net at 4:45.
Prep regained the lead at 3-2 when Anthony Unker grabbed a loose puck and shot between the two circles. The puck went into the lower left corner for the one-goal lead at 7:51.
