CIAC Division I boys' hockey semifinals - Hamden leads 3-1 after two periods
Darien’s Richard Gregory gave the Blue Wave a 1-0 lead in the first period at 7:33. But it was all Hamden in the second period as the Green Dragons outshot the Blue Wave 16-3.
Adam Devine got the Green Dragons on the board with a goal at 2:10 of the second period. Jim Burt made it 2-1 Hamden off a rebound for a power-play goal at 6:08 and Nick Amarone padded the lead with a goal at 10:08 for a 3-1 lead.
Hamden outshot Darien 29-8 overall after two periods.
