CIAC Div I semis-Prep vs. New Canaan- tied at 1 after first period

CIAC DIVISION I SEMIFINALS: PREP VS. NEW CANAAN

Although Prep had its chances to score first in the first period it was New Canaan that got the lucky bounce for the first score.
Jimmy Joe Granito took a shot from the bottom of the right circle that bounced off Prep goalie Spencer Sodokoff’s chest right to Tim Robustelli at the bottom of the left circle. Robustelli quickly wristed a shot inside the left post for a 1-0 lead at 2:42 for the Rams.
Both sides continued to get shots off but Prep’s Bryan Puffer would end up with the equalizer. He stole the puck from a New Canaan defenseman at the Rams blue line and broke for Rams net. He took a rising slap shot between circles that flew into the upper left corner to tie the game at 1 at 12:21.
