Law wins wild one over Hillhouse

Frank Peloso had four hits and three runs to lead the Law baseball team to a 25-20 Southern Connecticut Conference Hammonasset Division victory over host Hillhouse Monday at New Haven.

The game was shortened to five innings due to rain. Hillhouse led 20-18 entering the top of the fifth inning before the Lawmen (5-1) scored seven times to take the lead.

Also, East Haven defeated Career 6-3. Vinny Gigaletti went 4-for-4, including a home run, and two RBIs for the Easties.

In softball action,
Sammy Yuknat pitched a one-hitter and struck out eight for Old Lyme in a 4-1 victory over Cromwell. Yuknat also scored twice.

In lacrosse, Scott Berges scored six times for Branford in an 18-12 victory over previously unbeaten Morgan.
