Baseball roundup

Cheshire won its sixth straight with a 5-0 victory over Hamden. Brad Runowicz drove in three runs for the Rams. Cheshire will have a tough test Friday with West Haven. Morgan lost its first game of the year, a 7-4 defeat at the hands of Cromwell. Law jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and held on to knock off Amity 3-2. The Spartans have now lost three of their last four games. Xavier may be the most difficult team in the Southern Connecticut Conference to figure out. After beating Law 8-7 Monday, the Falcons fell to North Haven 5-1. Seymour recorded its sixth shuout of the year, blanking Kennedy 18-0. Taylor Searles had five RBIs.
