Mercy tops Hand

Amber Donovan had two hits and an RBI to lead visiting Mercy to a 4-2 SCC interdivision win over Hand at Madison. Mercy is 8-0.
Liz Tutino had two hits and Dominique Marcelino had two RBIs for Hand (7-2).

In other softball games, Caroline Kushner had a run-scoring single in the fifth inning to lift host Cheshire to a 1-0 SCC interdivision win over North Haven. Emily Amento had two hits for Cheshire (6-1).

In baseball, Sheldon Poole’s walkoff RBI single capped a seventh-inning rally as Career rallied from three runs down to defeat Sheehan 5-4 in an SCC game at New Haven.
