Friday's blizzard has pushed back both of Sunday's area championship events until Wednesday.
The Class LL state indoor track and field championship meet being held at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven has been postponed until Wednesday at 4 p.m. So has the Southern Connecticut Conference wrestling tournament, which will be held at Shelton beginning at 4 p.m.
In the wrestling tournament, only the top eight seeds in each division will be able to compete due to time constraints.
The SCC gymnastics championship meet will also be held Wednesday beginning at 5 p.m. at Law.
The Class S state indoor track and field meet is still scheduled for Monday at 4 p.m. and the Class L championship is set for Tuesday at 4 p.m. Both meets will be held at the athletic center.
The State Open indoor track meet, originally scheduled for next Saturday at the athletic center, has been moved to Feb. 19 at 4 p.m.
Sunday's seed state wrestling seeding meetings have been rescheduled to the following days at the CIAC office in Cheshire: Class L is Wednesday at 4 p.m., followed by Class LL at 6 p.m. The Class S seeding meeting is Thursday at 4 p.m., followed by Class M at 6.
All four meets are still on schedule to be held next Friday and Saturday.
