CIAC Division III final: Guilford leads 4-1 after two periods

Guilford outscored Brookfield/Bethel/Danbury 2-1 in the second period as the IceCats got a puck past Finucane.
Guilford forward Troy Raccuia scored his first goal off a shot at the bottom of the right circle. He shot high over IceCats goalie Luiz Dibble’s shoulder into the upper left corner for a 3-0 lead at 2:49 of the second period.
Like the first period, the IceCats had their periods of pressure against Finucane and Jared Smenyak got them on the board. Smenyak broke down the right wing on a 2-on-2 breakaway and shot from insed the circle. His rising slap shot just made it inside the right post to cut the lead to 3-1.
Raccuia responded with another goal to give the Indians their three-goal lead back. Dave DeCaprio took a shot from the right circle and Raccuia, camped out in front of the left post, redirected the shot for a goal and 4-1 lead at 10:08.
