Fairfield Prep second at Class LLswim meet
Fairfield Prep finished second for the third straight year behind Greenwich at the Class LL swimming championship held Wednesday at the Freeman Center on the campus of Wesleyan University in Middletown.
Fairfield Prep senior Andrew Golankiewicz won the 100 yard backstroke in 52.12 seconds.
Ed Becker, Tyler Pramer, Ryan Cahalane and Kristof Toth teamed to win the 200 freestyle relay.
That 200 individual medley had an area feel as four swimmers placed in the Top 6. Leading the way was Xavier junior Kevin Kosciuk, who was second (1:56.27). In the process, Kosciuk broke the school record in the event. The previous mark was 1:57.50.
