Softball State Tournament Predictions

The softball state tournament begins on Monday. Below are Mike Pucci's predictions for the semifinals and championship games in the four classes.

Class LL
Final four: No. 1 Masuk, No. 5 Southington, No. 10 Newtown and No. 3 Mercy.
Champion: Masuk over Mercy.

Class L
Final four: No. 1 Naugatuck, No. 4 Lyman Hall, No. 7 Rockville and No. 3 Hand.
Champion: Hand over Naugatuck.

Class M
Final four: No. 1 Seymour, No. 4 Lauralton Hall, No. 2 St. Joseph and No. 6 Woodland.
Champion: Seymour over St. Joseph.

Class S
Final four: No. 8 St. Bernard, No. 4 Coginchaug, No. 15 Trinity Catholic, No. 14 Old Lyme.
Champion: In an all-Shoreline Conference final, Coginchaug defeats Old Lyme.
