Law beat city rival Foran 11-6 today at Yale Field to win its first Southern Connecticut Conference title.
Seeded No. 2, the Lawmen were led by Brett Michael Doran. The junior, who hit a hard bouncer that drove in the game-deciding run in a 4-3 win over Amity in the semifinals, homered twice Saturday. No. 4 Foran held a 4-2 win entering the third inning, but Law scored nine over the next to frames. It was the third time Law beat Foran this season.
