Seymour Wins NVL Title
Top-seeded Seymour ended No. 6 Crosby's Naugatuck Valley League tournament run today with a 4-2 win over the Bulldogs at in the championship game at Municipal Stadium.
It's the Wildcats second straight NVL tournament title.
After Crosby scored a pair of first-inning runs, Seymour starter Garrett Cornwell allowed just one hit over the final six innings. He allowed just three hits and didn't walk a batter. Chris Renzoni, who went 2-for-3 with a double and a run, was named NVL regular season and tournament MVP.
