HOCKEY: HAMDEN WINS D-I TITLE 4-1

Goalie Anthony Avitable made 23 saves and P.J. Vakos scored twice to lead No. 1Hamden to a 4-1 win over No. 7 Glastonbury in the CIAC Division I chmpionship game at Ingalls Rink.
It is the 16th title for Hamden and first since 1989.
