HOCKEY: CIAC RESPONDS TO D-II MISTAKE
Regarding the controversial ending in the Division II final on Friday, where Cheshire had five men on the ice with a player in the penalty box with 8 seconds left in the game: Connecticut Interscholaastic Athletic Conference officials were aware of the mistake Saturday morning.
"We know about it but there is nothing that can be done," CIAC hockey tournament director George Hall said. "The game is history."
CIAC hockey committee chairman Tom Neagle said it was unfortunate and that they always try to get the calls right.
