HS HOCKEY: MASS. POWER CATHOLIC MEMORIAL TO FACE PREP

Fairfield Prep boys' hockey coach Matt Sather never shies away from scheduling challenging opponents and the Jesuits have a doozy lined up.
Prep plays host to Massachusetts and national power Catholic Memorial on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Wonderland of ice in Bridgeport. Prep already has a win over a Massachusetts power (3-2 over Boston College High on Jan. 31). But the deep and talented Jesuits will have their hands full with Catholic Memorial.
The Knights have won 19 Catholic Conference championships, 16 state championships and six national championships. Despite an 8-5-4 record CM was still ranked No. 1 in the Boston Globe Top 10 poll as of Sunday.
Catholic Memorial is an offensive juggernaut led by Derek Collucci (11 goals, 14 assists), Garrett Noonan (five goals, 20 assists) and T.J. O'Brien (11 goals, 10 assists).
If you love high school hockey and want to see it played at its highest level, plan on a trip to the Wonderland of Ice this Wednesday.
