Girls' Basketball All-Area MVP?

We are just past the midway point to the regular season. There is no clear-cut favorite to who will win the Girls' Basketball All-Area MVP race.
Right now, the mix looks to be...
  • Hillhouse senior Dannisha Pierce, who is the area's leading scorer at 22.2 points per game.
  • Anisha Wilson is headed to the University of Miami for a reason. Thanks to this senior guard, Career doesn't look to be a team that lost a pair of Division I players.
  • There's Wilbur Cross' do-it-all senior Chantell Alford.
  • Though Rachel Roberts missed seven games for Mercy after being suspended for violating team rules, the Villanova-bound guard is perhaps the most talented player in the area. And don't forget about her teammate Bianca Simmons.
  • No one probably means more to their team than Morgan's Kara Fillion.

The list continues with Branford Courtney Schissler, Lauralton Hall's Keylantra Langley, Hand's Kerry Wallack and Law's Casey Dulin.

Your thoughts?
