After a one-week hiatus, the Hurricanes return to the Register Top 10 girls' basketball poll at No. 4. New Britain is perhaps the best team in the state, but took a plunge from No. 1 to No. 6 last week after forfeiting five games for using an academically ineligible player.
Hillhouse remains the top-ranked team from the area, but fell from No. 4 to No. 5. Riding an 11-game winning streak, Bacon Academy joins the Top 10 and is the only team not from Class LL or L. The Bobcats play in Class M.
