Roberts and Simmons Return

Mercy's backcourt of Rachel Roberts and Bianca Simmons returned tonight, after missing seven games for violating team rules. The duo combined for 37 points as the Tigers knocked off Wilbur Cross 47-42. Chantell Alford led the Governors with 17 points.
In other area games, Brittanie Samuels erupted for 29 points and grabbed 22 rebounds as Platt Tech edged Bullard Havens 52-49. The win gave the Panthers a Constitution State Conference and state tournament berth.
Hamden Hall dropped just their second game of the season, falling to King 50-42.
Tessa Karmelowicz had 14 points and 10 rebounds in a losing effort.
