Girls Swimming: Branford eager for season to begin

http://www.casciac.org/gswim.shtml

Branford girls' swim coach Scott Butler is looking forward to this season and with good reason.
Last season the Hornets saw the 200 medey relay, 200 freestyle relay and 50 freestyle school records fall. Butler believes it is possible to see those records fall once again. In addition, he believes the 100 freestyle, 500 freestyle and 100 breaststroke records are within reach this season.
Christine Rasile (50 freestyle, 100 freestyle), her sister Lauren Rasile (50 freestyle, 100 freestyle), Calla Cameron (500 freestyle,200 freestyle), Lily Suhanovsky (breaststroke), Abby Raynor (200 individual medley, 500 freestyle) and Chrissy Beaulac (backstroke) are among the swimmers on the team expected to challenge the aforementioned school records.
"Having been the runners-up to Wilton the past two years (CIAC Class M meet) has given us the opportunity to want the title more and more," Butler said. "We are very excited to field a team of 45 swimmers and divers for this upcoming season. With the returning group of swimmers and the addition of 12 freshmen our path to the top will not be carved out for us. A lot of hard work and comaraderie are going to be essential for us to reach our goals.
"But I will say this. It should be an exciting month of November for us."
