Girls' swimming: Grindall commits to Wisconsin
Amity swimmer Dana Grindall, a
two-time Register girls’ swimming MVP and All-American who competed at the
United States Olympic swim trials in Omaha, Neb. in June, has decided to commit
to the University of Wisconsin.
“It feels good to have
that decision made, I'm so excited,” Grindall said. “Wisconsin has a good swim program and I
like the school."
At the Olympic Trials, Grindall
was 27th in the 100 butterfly in 1:00.28 and 61st in the
200 butterfly in 2:16.48.
This season at Amity she
broke school records in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.75) and the 200 freestyle
(1:54.4).
