From the “Hindsight is always 20-20” department, we bring you the 2011 Notre Dame-West Haven football team.
Coming off a 2009 state title and a 2010 season in which they were a fairly disappointing (by their standards) 7-3, it was time to regroup. Star quarterback Sean Goldrich had graduated, as had speedsters Tirrell Young-Williams and Phil Bentley.
While we really didn’t know how tough, we knew the schedule in Division I would be brutal and that Notre Dame – while never expected to be poor by any stretch – might absorb a few losses along the way this season.
