GIRLS' VOLLEYBALL: Sheehan storms past Branford in SCC quarterfinals

BRANFORD — If the Sheehan volleyball team goes on a run in next week’s state tournament, the Titans can easily point to Wednesday night’s Southern Connecticut Conference tournament quarterfinal victory over Branford as a spark.
The story is not that the Titans defeated Branford 3-1 — it is how the victory came about.
After splitting the first two games and trailing 21-13 in the third game, the Titans were on the verge of going into the fourth game in a must-win situation.
