Coaches spend hours and hours trying to analyze and think through game plans, but after his team was beaten fairly soundly last Thursday night by Hand in Meriden, Cheshire coach Mark Ecke pretty much summed up the success of the Tigers’ defense succinctly and simply.
“They ran to the football and tackled well,” Ecke said. “Our kids never had a second chance.”
