RAY CURREN: At long last, Jeff Bevino (the softball coach?!?) becomes a state champion

WEST HAVEN — You’ll have to excuse my ignorance, but as a part-time reporter, it only came to my attention in the middle of last spring season that Jeff Bevino was the Foran softball coach.

Jeff Bevino? The football guy? The former Milford Academy coach? Coaching softball? Ooo-kay.
