The Amity baseball team beat Cheshire for the third time this season, this time in the Class LL state quarterfinals. Amity returns to Municipal Stadium in Waterbury to face Newington in Tuesday's semifinals.

Notre Dame-West Haven returned to the L semifinals after beating another SCC team, North Haven, on Saturday. ND will face another SCC team, Foran, in Tuesday's semifinals at Nolan Field in Ansonia.
