Boys' golf championships begin Monday

Three state golf championships will be decided on Monday. The Division I championship will be held at Crestbrook Park in Watertown. Fairfield Prep and Cheshire, the Southern Connecticut Conference co-champions are among the teams in contention for the team title.

The Division III title will be contested at Tallwood CC in Hebron and the Division IV crown will be contested at the Timberlin Golf Club in Kensington.

Guilford is one of the favorites to win the Division II title on Wednesday at Fairview Farms in Harwinton.

The state girls golf championship will be held Tuesday at Orange Hills Country Club. Lauralton Hall is among the teams in contention for the team title.

In tennis, the boys class divisions and the State Open for girls resume on Monday. The finals for all four boys' divisions will be held Wednesday at Conard at 4 p.m. while Yale hosts the girls' Open finalists Wednesday at 3 p.m.
