TheCIAC boys' and girls' lacrosse tournament schedules were released today (Friday) at noon.
The CIAC boys’ lacrosse Class L, M and S tournaments begin on Tuesday with qualifying round games and will culminate with championship games on June 12 (sites/times to be determined). The CIAC girls’ lacrosse Division I and II tournaments also begin on Tuesday with qualifying round games and will culminate with championship games on June 12 (sites/times to be determined).
In the boys’ tournament, Darien has won five straight titles (Division I in 2005, Class M the last four seasons), Prep has won Class L the last four seasons and St. Joseph is the defending champion in Class S.
The boys' team to watch is Cheshire. The Rams have unprecedented depth and talent this season and should challenge for the title. I predict Cheshire will face Prep in the final
In the girls’ tournament, Darien is the four-time defending champion in Division I and Immaculate is the defending champion in Division II.
Thye local girls' teams to watch are Hand and Cheshire led by two of ther state's top scorers with Emily Jablonski and Katharine Eddy, respectively.
