early postponements...and a forfeit

The Xavier-West Haven and Hand-Shelton football games, along with Masuk-Bunnell out of the SWC, have been postponed until Saturday at 7 p.m. due to inclement weather.

Also, the Fairfield Prep boys' soccer team was forced to forfeit its second-round Class LL state tournament win over Southington on Thursday due to using an ineligible player. Southington now advances to the quarterfinals Saturday to take on top-seeded Glastonbury.
