Soccer season reaches midway point

The high school soccer season has reached the midway point of the regular season and thus far, there have been few surprises in the Southern Connecticut Conference
Last year's champions in the SCC Hammonasset (Guilford boys, Hand girls) and Housatonic (Amity boys, Cheshire girls) are back on top. Wilbur Cross is on its way to winning its second straight SCC Oronoque girls crown as is Mercy in the Quinnipiac.
Fairfield Prep has a slight lead on Xavier in the SCC Quinnipiac while Branford has a similar lead over defending champ North Haven in the Oronoque.

Will the division races change down the stretch? Stay tuned...
