Chang hired at Sheehan
Jocelyn Chang has been hired as the softball coach at Sheehan, replacing Ray Ramelli, Jr., who resigned in the offseason.
Chang, 27, was an assistant at Career last season after serving two years as the freshman coach at Amity and one year as an assistant at Bethany Middle School. This will be her first head coaching job.
"It’s very exciting," Chang said. "This is a new step for me; I am going to have my own squad."
The Titans went 13-10 last season, and advanced to the Class L second round and to the quarterfinals of the Southern Connecticut Conference tournament.
"I have a whole team to build upon," said Chang, a former pitcher at West Haven. "What I’m told is we have a good core coming back."
