Norwich Free Academy won its sixth state championship in school history Friday night, beating Career 63-42 at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
Game MVP Kastine Evans had a game-high 24 points on 8-of-16 shooting, along with a game-high 15 rebounds for the top-seeded Wildcats (24-2). Stephanie Long added 17 poibts for NFA.
Tonique Adkins had 12 points while Anisha Wilson added 10 points and six assists for the second-seeded Panthers (22-5), who were the defending champions.
